Square Enix has just announced that Final Fantasy X will be getting an HD re-release in celebration of the game’s 10th anniversary. Details are pretty slim at the moment but this is great news if you loved FFX. Just imagine seeing Zanarkand for the first time in HD. I get chills just thinking about it.

The amount of people asking for an HD remake of this compared to FFVII is very very small.
FFVII had characters that looked like a bunch of blocks, when this game already had decent enough graphics, as well as full voice acting. This doesn’t need a remake.

See that’s the problem I’ve been seeing everywhere! Don’t look at it as a remake! look at is as an upgrade! If it was a remake they’d start from the ground up which is of course what FF7 really needs, a simple hd upgrade wouldn’t exactly do much to FF7 just make the blocky bodies sharper.

HD FXII and add trophies… I’d gladly pay 39.99$ for it! Spent over 3000 hours on ps2 playing that! It’s the only reason I care about ps2 still.
