Codemasters have announced that there’ll be a free demo for DiRT Showdown released today across Xbox Live, PSN and PC (via Steam). The demo will feature a solo single player race and a “devastating” multiplayer demolition derby event.
The single player race is the ‘8 Ball’ race that we’ve seen before, which Codemasters describe as a “chaotic, full-impact race in the shadow of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge” and the multiplayer demo is the “Rampage” mode, an eight player destruction event.
“Gamers who download the DiRT Showdown demo are also invited to sign up for RaceNet,” says the press release, “the free new online extension for Codemasters Racing games, which enables players to track their Races, Rivals and Rewards.”
