Gran Turismo 6 Will “Appear Naturally” On PlayStation 4

Gran Turismo 6 is headed for the PlaySation 3 later this year, which still remains to be a surprising decision, or so we thought.

Kazunori Yamauchi teased that a PlayStation 4 version of Gran Turismo 6 would “appear naturally” and that “we won’t keep you waiting too long, but it won’t be too soon either”. This of course is far from any confirmation and as it stands the only console Gran Turismo 6 will be releasing on is the PS3.

  1. Hope this does come to the PS4 not to soon after it hit’s the PS3 though cannot wait for the PS4 still feel it will hit our shops in October in time for the big hitters Fifa,Call Of Duty,Battlefield

  2. I’ll buy it on PS3, then upgrade to the PS4 version when it comes. Polyphony can have all my money!

    • Same here, I really enjoy the GT games so don’t mind paying twice, although I don’t think I’ll be buying any DLC for the PS3 version in case it’s not transferable.
      I’m still playing GT5 which I got at launch so I think I’ve had my moneys worth.

  3. I really think I will just hold off for a PS4 version, I have enough of a PS3 backlog to get through before the 4 is released as it is.
    Had presumed this would be the case anyway so I’m happy with it.

    • There’s loads of time before it’s released on PS3 so hopefully we’ll hear a lot more about what’s planned for both consoles.

  5. I reckon this’ll see the PS4 somewhere around 2 years after the PS3 release (so, 2015/16), once any DLC they have planned is out. It’ll also include any updates released obviously, and will likely be branded the complete/definitive edition as the GT5 Academy Edition currently is.
    Oh, and I’m really looking forward to that demo due out soon :)

    • Two and a half weeks for the demo, it’s scheduled for the beginning of July! Servers gonna serve :P

  7. Oh bugger! What to do? Get it on PS3 or be patient (as a GT fan, that’s easy) and get it on PS4?

  8. Gran Turismo – in the buff edition expected soon.

    It could be a good thing that it isn’t a launch title, gives driveclub more of a chance to gain a a following. If they were released at the same time, they’d potentially be taking sales away from each other.

  9. I love unquantified statements – “we won’t keep you waiting too long, but it won’t be too soon either”. His idea or intimation of the time period may be totally different to mine. For example, not too long to wait in my books means the next 20 minutes…

    Along the same lines, the X1 is a ‘quality’ machine and my beloved Wolverhampton Wanderers play ‘quality’ football and they will gain promotion from League One ‘soon’.

    The statement about the GT6 on PS4 is pretty pointless.

  10. Could you ask him if I buy gt6 on ps3 would my save transfer over to ps4 gt6 and if he doesn’t know could you ask him to pass the idea over to the devs
