Ratchet & Clank: Nexus Delayed A Week, Getting Free Quest For Booty

Hidden away in a post about the game on the PlayStation Blog, Ratchet & Clank: Nexus developers Insomniac have revealed that the EU release of the game has slipped a week, with the new date being November 22nd here in the UK (yes, that is the Xbox One launch date!), and earlier that week elsewhere in Europe. The delay doesn’t appear to affect the game’s US release.

Aside from the delay, the team has also announced that those who pick up the game either on disk or from the PlayStation Store will get access to 2008’s Quest for Booty, the first in the line of smaller entries in the series that Insomniac has released this generation. The Blog post mentions that disk and download buyers will both get the game through the Disk Benefits option on the XMB that you’ve likely used before for Cross-Buy titles, but given that that such an option doesn’t normally appear for downloaded games, we’d think it’ll actually be added to your download list once you purchase Nexus digitally.

Blair got the chance to play the game a couple of weeks back, describing it as “the colourful, fun and explosive adventure that Ratchet & Clank fans have been asking for, and perhaps a perfectly suited final outing for the duo on PS3.” Nexus is currently only announced for a PS3 release, with a Vita appearance heavily rumoured.

  1. Another delay, seriously what is going on!

    • It’s like the entire industry has forgotten there’s twelve months in the year and they’ve been working to some mystical thirteen month calendar, only to have thirty one days “stolen” from them on the approach to Christmas. :-)

      • Hang on, are you telling me that Detzrober isn’t actually a real month? Balls!

      • Lousy Smarch Weather!

  2. Don’t mind a week delay, shame is clashes with Tearway being released. Managed to pre-order it for £18 which is a bargain.
