Hello again, welcome back! As expected, not much happening this week due to the lull in games we will have in April. May is an absolute killer month though, with Red Dead Redemption, Prince of Persia, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Split/Ssecond, Blur, Lost Planet 2, Alpha Protocol and ModNation Racers representing the highlights. Expect all these lists in April, but for now, we have:
Feeding Frenzy is the latest PopCap game to hit the PSN. It’s currently only available on the US Store, but there’s a demo there if you’ve never heard of this game before (I haven’t). Basically, you eat smaller fish by swimming to them, growing in the process. This allows you to start eating bigger fish, who could have previously eaten you when you were smaller. While it’s certainly no Peggle, you should give it a try if you want some new downloadable goodies to play with. The trophies don’t look that difficult but some of them look quite time-consuming. That’s PopCap’s style, no?
Wakeboarding HD is the next gem from Creat Studios to release on the PlayStation Store (it’s on there right now). If you’ve never heard of the game till now, you can read Nofi’s impressions (hint: he liked it). The trophies look like they will take a while, especially ‘Avid Collector’. As long as I get to bump into scantily-clad women, I’ll be a happy bunny.
My favourite trophy of the week is:
Borderlands/ Bronze
Sucker born every minute
Paid for a worthless tour of the world’s largest bullet
Gearbox are some twisted folk. This is the secret trophy in the Secret Armoury DLC and it basically wants you to waste $8 Million for it. Considering the game caps you off at $9.99 Million, that’s a lot of money wasted. You are indeed a sucker.
Just joking.
