We knew it was imminent. Now we know exactly when to expect it. Buried in the notes at the foot of the Sony press release (yes, I have been reading lots of those recently in an effort to feed your voracious minds) for PlayStation Plus is the release date for firmware 3.40.
So there you have it. Firmware 3.40 is scheduled to hit on 29th June, the same day PlayStation Plus launches. Makes sense really.

Wait a second, about the PS3 downloadable titles thingy.. It says you’ll be able to buy the full PS3 title when the trial has expired. So is this the form of Games on Demand? This is gonna be SWEET!

One problem the downloads will take months.. Might as well walk to the devs and get a copy. Will be cool if sony can sort the downloads out.

hopefully theyll update flash players ect. cos ps3 doesnt even cope with youtube no more.. cross game chat is useless. it wont get used its hardly used on the 360. voice messaging would be more usefull imo
