Ted Price of Insomniac took to the stage for one final announcement during the Sony press conference, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One. This new Ratchet game features 4 player drop in drop out co-op and allows you to take control of Ratchet, Clank, Quark and Nefarious. Together you can combine attacks to make them more powerful, complete four player puzzles and throw each other around. The game is due for release in Fall 2011. (Trailer below)
The big question many were asking was where is Resistance 3? Ted Price started off by talking about 3 year development cycles for their games. Correct me if I’m wrong but it has been nearly 2 years since Resistance 2 and less than 12 months since the last Ratchet. Just as Ted Price was walking off stage he left with one parting gift, a Resistance 3 trailer and a 2011 release date. We’ll have that online as soon we can.

Love both franchises so this is great news for me.

I’m more happy about the new Ratchet and Clank, not sure it’ll be up to par with the other games though, necessary coop is a gimmick I always pair with downloadable titles.
