PSN Store Update: 08/09/10

Yep, it’s Wednesday again already which means it’s time to scour the PSN Store for updates. This week we’ve already brought you the news of a couple of the additions to this week’s update.

First up was the news that PlayStation Plus subscribers are getting early access to the PES 2011 demo. Featuring the ability to play against the computer or offline multi-player matches as either FC Barcelona or FC Bayern Munich, or Copa Libertadores pair Chivas Guadalajara and Internacional.

The love for PlayStation Plus doesn’t stop there however, as it has been announced that the God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta demo will also be available. We got up close and personal with Kratos’ latest outing and you can read all about it here.

Elsewhere on the store PS3 owners can finally get to grips with Worms 2, and a first taste of Quantum Theory and the arrival of Top Gun, then of course, there is of course the usual host of fantastic special offers and add-on content.

        terRover is fun but the tank thing is very twitchy.

        that samurai thing is fun but the bosses are total bastards.

        quantum theory doesn’t seem to bad, a competant gears style game, but it seems like you keep jumping to different bits of the bloody level, makes it it hard to get into.

        and the legend of the guardians demo just plain refuses to work for me, screen goes black and the ps3 locks up, and i guess it’ll be an icon deal rather than an uncharted thing.

      • Legends of the guardians loaded ok for me… It’s kinda Warhawk with owls..

  4. Hero of Sparta for 99p? Will check that out. Some good DLC out this week two :)

    • it’s a bloody good game actually, bought it last week, i’ve discovered it plays better on the ps3 thanks to a decent analog stick, but for 99p it’s a bloody bargain either way.

      it’s well worth getting.

      • It’s indeed a nice game, although story is stupid. In review on this site they mentioned glitches like getting stuck in the walls, now such glitches are gone (maybe they updated it?).

  8. So Jimmy’s Vendetta for Mafia II is not available in the Czech Republic, a bit strange considering Mafia II is made by 2K Czech O_o

  9. quantum theory demo will be defo, cba downloading pes and nothing to buy this week.

    and what time does te store update, somedays its early morning then someone days quite late, and last weeks was a nightmare

    • Don’t bother with wasting your time. I played this back in May and the best way to descibe it is ‘a bag of shit’ and that’s being polite!

      • I have to agree Blagger , I was optimistic after the surprise of Segas excellent Vanquish demo so downloaded it from US store this morning and it was so poor it reminded me of those awful Turok and Conflict Joint Ops demos.

      • thanks 4 the advice, i downloaded ghost of sparta demo, i cannot play it via remote play and dont have enough space n psp memory stick 4 it so ill delete that.

      • You had to mention the Conflict games didn’t you! ;) I still to this day cannot forgive Pivitol for ruining what was an entertaining franchise…now I’ll never know what happened to Foley :(

  10. I’ll have to get Castle Crashers in the US Store. I hate it when they release a game I want in the US and there’s no date or ETA for the EU release.
