PSN Store Update: 08/09/10

Yep, it’s Wednesday again already which means it’s time to scour the PSN Store for updates. This week we’ve already brought you the news of a couple of the additions to this week’s update.

First up was the news that PlayStation Plus subscribers are getting early access to the PES 2011 demo. Featuring the ability to play against the computer or offline multi-player matches as either FC Barcelona or FC Bayern Munich, or Copa Libertadores pair Chivas Guadalajara and Internacional.

The love for PlayStation Plus doesn’t stop there however, as it has been announced that the God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta demo will also be available. We got up close and personal with Kratos’ latest outing and you can read all about it here.

Elsewhere on the store PS3 owners can finally get to grips with Worms 2, and a first taste of Quantum Theory and the arrival of Top Gun, then of course, there is of course the usual host of fantastic special offers and add-on content.

  3. How on earth can they really justify £12 for Worms 2 Armageddon (that’s like saying Worms 2 3, anyway) when the same game on XBLA costs 800 MS points… Also known as roughly £7, which is in line with how much the first worms game cost on PSN?

    Mental stuff.

    Anyway, nowt for me, but I’ll be getting the GoW PSP demo from PS+ :)

    • I was looking to buy that, but at £12, it’s a simple… no.

      • Yep, same here. I think I paid £7.99(?) for Worms when it came onto PSN. Is Armageddon that much different to justify the £12 price tag?

    • I echo the comments about Worms Armageddon being over priced. If it had been around the same price as the first Worms game, then I’d have bought it straight away. At £12, I’ll be waiting for a store discount offer in a few months time!! ;)

      Maybe Team 17 feel that they can charge more as it comes with a platinum?

  5. Is there a reason why the EU blog cannot post the sizes of the files (games/demos) whereas the US blog can?

  7. £11.99 for Worms 2?! That sounds very pricey – I’ll wait for it to appear in the Special Offers section for half that price thanks. And that must be one great Mini for £5.99!!!

  10. I find this update a bit Meh! although one man’s rubbish is another man’s treasure. Bejewelled cheap is a definate for any puzzlers out there though.
    I might try Worms after Alien Breed has totally sent me to the mental clinic.
