Crikey Test Drive Unlimited 2 is looking nice! The latest trailer surely has to be the best yet in terms of visual flair, with the added bonus of detailing a number of multiplayer modes. It looks like things have ramped way up since the original game, with the addition of a police mode, follow the leader, plus several other things to try.
And did we mention it looks nice? It looks nice.

There’s a reason for that – I think GT5 is a misprint and it supposed to be GTS. I’ll let you make up your own mind as to what the ‘S’ should stand for although a 4 letter word springs to my mind… And it isn’t slut, although that does spring to my mind quite often in good and bad ways

Far be it from me to throw water on a good rant but surely the actual quality of GT5 doesn’t effect how excited you were for it before release. Even if it was bobbins you don’t know that beforehand.
Just the same, TDU2 could turn out cack, doesn’t stop us being excited about it now.

Do you think the project leader of the trailer issued a challenge to make 2:20 minutes of utterly useless visual spectacle? Mission accomplished. It tells you just a few things (in bloody text) and shows you close-to-nothing. Chops and changes so fast you think “what the hell? Did I just have a seizure!”.
I think, for me, racing game trailers need to show substance as there’s usually no plot or narrative. Show the REAL game. In-game preferably. Not some ADHD-induced bombardment of scenes that make no sense. Oh, and whilst I’m going through my male menopause here, did you see the ‘Create Your Own Club’ feature? Hahaha! It looked more sterile than a musical statues party in Home where people were only allowed in if they were castrated beforehand.
The most frustrating part is that I think the game’s going to be very good. Just, so far, they’ve shown nothing but want us to think they have. Plebs.

Looking good, multiplayer on TDU was very hit and miss, let’s hope this is a big improvement.
