There are very few games that are announced with the kind of excitement that Dead Island received, but then again not many games are announced with trailers like this one. We’ve got another batch of screens to show you today and they look very similar to what we revealed a couple of weeks ago. I couldn’t help but giggle when I looked at the shot of the woman kicking the zombie out of the car. Her expression doesn’t quite match the situation, does it?

Once you’ve shot, decapitated, electrocuted and burned a few hundred zombies, it’s not like kicking one out of the car will make you even raise an eyebrow.

I read a little bit about this last night. It’s first person and you use whatever is to hand as a weapon. You can modify some weapons such as electrifying a blade but nothing as outlandish as DR2, so they’re keeping that sense of realism which hopefully bodes well for how they are approaching the rest of the game. Looking forward to seeing some gameplay videos.
