One of the games talked about yesterday as part of the NGP blowout was Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Unfortunately, outside of the new name, not much info was given.
Luckily, one of the developers behind Uncharted: Golden Abyss dropped by the EU PlayStation Blog shortly after all the announcements, to hand out a few of the details previously unknown.
To make sure you don’t miss anything, you can check out the full video interview below but we’ll give you a couple of the bigger announcements first.
For starters, Golden Abyss takes place in Central America and will include a brand new character to go along with the series’ staples, Drake and Sully. The story is actually meant to be somewhat of a prequel but it doesn’t directly tie in to the main Uncharted story in any way.
Last, Bend Studio is making it very clear that this is not a half-hearted effort. All the voice actors from the main series are doing the voices in Golden Abyss and overall there are over 3,000 character animations in this game. While they didn’t mention exactly how long it will be, they certainly made it sound like it should rival its console counterparts as far as single-player content goes.
We also included a few new screenshots at the bottom of the post, in case you missed them earlier.
