Ken Rosman, Studio Head of Radical Entertainment spoke about RADNET.

“Radical Entertainment has always focused on bringing long lasting fun to its fans, and Prototype 2’s RADNET content is our way of rewarding the game’s most loyal supporters – the early adopters, the one’s who will replay it over and over again. We think this is great because we’re giving our fans hours of additional gameplay outside Prototype 2’s main narrative, and cool rewards, all delivered weekly following the game’s launch.”

Prototype Type is to launch April 24th, 2012 in North America and 27th April, 2012 in Europe on PS3, Xbox 260 and PC.

  1. Not bad. April 24th is my girlfriends birthday so might pre-order because I know how much she likes to sit and watch me play on games…

    • Hehe, my ex gf often gets me to come around just so she can watch me play games, usually Uncharted or something of that ilk though rather than CoD.
Don’t usually end up playing for too long though…

      • Consider yourselves lucky! Whilst my wife does game & is quite happy to play some games with me, she cannot stand watching me play as i tend to annoy her by searching EVERYWHERE for collectibles & generally faff about instead of getting the job done.

At least gaming is the only thing she can say that about! :D

      • Giggidy

      • I have to change my play style when at hers, Forrest, as she hates that, and depending on the game I can be like that as well :)

      • I always do that when I want to play alone,
“Yes dear, I know I have played this level 3 times already but I missed a collectable and am gunning for the platinum…oh your going to bed? Okay, be up in a bit*”

        *4 hours.

  2. So is this pre-order bonuses, or their version of an offline pass, like the catwoman content from Batman?

It seems like it is probably more the former with the avatars & themes, but i just can’t help but be a bit cynical to these sorts of things these days.

Basically, what i am saying is that i hope the ‘in game events’, ‘challenges’ & ‘mutations’ have not been ripped from the game in order for them to get paid twice!

    • I think this is like the “Special editions” of games like Battlefield 3, Bulletstorm, Rage etc, where the special edition seems to be the same price at new, just rewarding you for buying early.
