Community Round-Up: 01/06/13

It’s been another busy week news-wise on TSA, and it looks like we’re going to be in for a great E3 this year. Anyway, let’s see what else has been happening on TSA in this week’s Community Round-up!

No new competitions on TSA this week, but the Velocity Ultra Artwork comp is ongoing, with some lovely entries so far, which can be seen via FuturLab’s Facebook page.

Also, that sound you’re hearing probably means that TSA’s E3 Bingo will make a return at some point this week…

It looks like another quiet week on the Meets front, with with just 2 of them at the moment. Kicking things off, Manorhowze hosts the first Grid 2 meet at 4pm tomorrow, while the usual Gran Turismo 5 shenanigans take place on Monday at 7pm, again hosted by Manorhowze.

I’m sure Forrest will jump in with his usual Battlefield meet, or feel free to set up your own Meet provided you have 250 TSA points.

From the Reviews, we’ve got Blair’s avoid-at-all-costs review of Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta Episode 1, which scored 1/10, followed by Aran’s 7/10 review of The HD Adventures Of Rotating Octopus Character, which is a puzzle game based upon collecting baby octopuses (or is it octopi? Even wikipedia seems confused!).

Alex gave us his thoughts on yesterday’s release of GRID 2 in seven parts, and Gamoc filled this week’s Indie Focus with a look at the heist game, Monaco. Meanwhile, Jim’s ongoing review of Defiance continued onwards, rather resolutely.

Moving onto the Previews, Teflon looked at Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, which is some great looking DLC for Borderlands 2. He also previewed the wonderful sounding Rain, while Tuffcub had a look at the new Now TV PS3 Beta and Aran’s Matter of Perspective series turned its focus to the Tomb Raider reboot.

From the Community articles, Ro6afc11 sent in some pictures of his gaming rig in last week’s Chronicle, while the WeView Verdict for Just Cause 2 was wholly in favour of buying it. The most recent addition to the Call of Duty series, Black Ops 2 becomes the next game for you guys to give your views on.

The Podcast took a break after last week’s double, so that leaves us with What We Played #107, which was brought to us by Greg.

Moving on now to the Forums, let’s check out what you’ve all been talking about this week.

And that’s it for another week. I’m back home from Uni now so have 3 and a half months of summer to look forward to. Hopefully it’s not raining for most of it!

I’ll see you next week, bye!

  1. It’s a good thread, I tells ya! My little community (okay, handful of friends) have been enjoying Payday: The Heist on the PC.

Might I just say that the bonus level (that the developers approached Valve about, I believe) is stunning! It’s the Mercy Hospital featured in Left 4 Dead. Hell, even Bill makes a cameo appearance in the lift/elevator at the beginning if you’re lucky.

    Stunning! :-)

    • Still yet to play PAYDAY. Hopefully will do before the second is release!
