New footage from the Xbox One exclusive Dead Rising 3 has emerged and as you might expect, it features lots of zombies.
The video shows a shark with flaming chainsaw, a knight with a light sabre and a couple of vehicles including a flame throwing steamroller.

As in, what he thought of the game, not just to become telepathically linked to our dearly departed editor – that would be odd.

I have to admit that looks bloody good fun, I much prefer the grittier look too. I hope it’s only a timed Xbox One exclusive like DR2.

Going open-world looks to be a great move in terms of the gameplay – the previous games seemed quite clunky and awkward to play. The only thing is i wonder is … in games like GTA it’s easy to get distracted from the missions and go on a killing spree, whereas here killing sprees are the meat of the game so i wonder if the mission structure/narrative will be improved or suffer now that they’ve gone open world.
One thing is for certain it looks like it’ll be great fun but i’m just not sure if it would hold my attention for long or whether i would just load it up now and again for some cathartic, murderous mayhem.
