Plus Point Challenge: Resogun Reminder

Last week, we kicked off our first Plus Point Challenge, focused around the game Resogun. We asked you to play the first level, Acis, on Rookie and go to that leaderboard to share your high score with us and be in with a chance of climbing up the TSA leaderboard, which we’ll launch after the first challenge has been completed.

As for that first challenge, you have until 6PM on Sunday to get your highest score in. All you need to do to enter is get a high score on the Acis level on Rookie difficulty, and then post a screenshot of the Rookie leaderboard to twitter via the PS4’s share button, along with your TSA username and hashtag #TSAResogun.

What could you win? Well, we’ll be giving one random entrant a £10/$10 PSN voucher, and the first person to climb the TSA leaderboard and score fifty points will win a year’s PlayStation Plus subscription. Here’s the full list of rules, and full entry details below:

  1. Single level play through on the first level – Acis.
  2. Difficulty level to be set on the easiest level – Rookie.
  3. Any ship can be used.
  4. This must be a single player attempt – no co-op cheating here!
  5. Highest score achieved on Acis on Rookie difficulty will be awarded 10 leaderboard points, 2nd highest 9 points, 3rd will get 8 points and so on, all the way down to 1 point.
  6. Everyone who enters will receive 1 leaderboard point, regardless of finishing position.
  7. Entries must be submitted by 6PM on Sunday 26th January – late entries will not be considered.

And to enter:

  1. Play the first level, Acis, as many times as you like on Rookie difficulty, trying to get the best score you can.
  2. Once you’re happy with your score, go to the high scores section of Resogun and find the score table for Acis, Rookie difficulty, single player mode.
  3. You can enter multiple times, but only your highest entry will be counted, and please don’t clog up the hashtag with constant entries!
  4. Press the Share button on your DualShock 4.
  5. Share a screenshot of the high score table, clearly displaying your PSN ID and best attempt.
  6. Share the screenshot via Twitter with the hashtag #TSAResogun.
  7. Make sure you include your TSA username on your tweet as well as the hashtag.

If you don’t have a Twitter account then worry not, you can set one up here. You won’t even need to keep the account, you can literally just use it to post your score then never use it again! You will need to link your Twitter account to your PS4 which can be done when you press the share button and choose Twitter as your sharing option.

And you don’t even have to be good – you’ll still have a chance to win the PSN Credit just by entering, and then if you’re really bad, we have five bonus points for the lowest score. Although, if you make the top 10 in the highest score then you’ll be exempt from the low score competition – it’s only fair!

  1. Oh forgot about this, will keep trying to get the lowest score.

    • You’ll NEVER beat me on the lowest score!! As much as I love this game, I’m rubbish at it!

  2. sigh.. i had a few tries but i keep ending up around 2.7 million which i know won’t figure anywhere on the leaderboard .. maybe i should go for the wooden spoon.. :/

Also, if i reload the game next day my high score has disappeared, possibly because it’s not in the top 2500, which is as much as the in game leaderboard shows.

    Oh well, good luck everyone.

    • Well I have bad news for you. Your wooden spoon score is higher than my highest score that it have! No five points for you.

Does your score still go when you select to filter the score by friends only? Mine stays. (unfortunately)

      • *highest score that I have!

      • No mine disappears from the friends list also.

Oh – and i haven’t ‘actively’ tried for the wooden spoon yet – so watch out ;)

  3. Ah, nearly forgot! Will have to get my score in tonight.

  4. Oooo, cheers for the reminder or I would’ve forgotten! Not that it matters… Some of the scores already submitted are ridiculous! I thought I had a reasonable and genuinely can’t see how it’s possible to score 20mil+ with these settings. I call foul :-P

    • *reasonable score…

      • There are several ways to improve on 20 mil. One way is to save humans up and pop them all in really quickly when the green arrows on the rescue beam turn blue.

      • Really? Cheers fella, ain’t seen it turn blue yet… I’ll keep my eyes peeled :-) I figured out hoarding humans is the way to go but I’ll certainly keep trying!

      • No problem. Arrows will turn blue for a short time when you put your first human in, so the more you have nearby after that, the better.

  5. Remember guys it doesn’t matter if your score isn’t going to be in the top 10, every entrant gets 1 point and entered into a draw to win a £10 psn voucher.
    Get your entries in!

  6. fingers crossed my little black beauty will be here tomorrow…
    Game express delivery apparently?
Will power the beast up get and involved..
I am rubbish at shooters so its the wooden spoon for me!

  7. Managed a really good score, but can’t see myself bettering it. Would be very interested to see a video of one of the top three showing a video run just to see how it’s done. Good luck to everyone!

  8. Uploaded a score yesterday but don’t think it’ll trouble the top of the leaderboard, will try and better it before deadline.

  9. The huge scores are atained by keeping as many enemies on screen as you can cope with until just before the boss then killing them all at once with the overdrive.
Unsure whether or not housemarque consider it an exploit but for now it’s in the game!
I beat my score for the entire game on just the first level using this technique.

  10. Entered yo!
