Okay, the sailing’s gone. You’re back in cities, it appears to be France this time round. It’s a step back, right? I mean, where are the pirates? This isn’t the new generation, is it?
And then, towards the end of the trailer, there’s an impressive sense of scale as the camera pans down across a huge crowd. This is the new Assassin’s Creed for PS4 and Xbox One as well as PC. This is Unity.
After a few leaks, Ubisoft released this trailer today, which confirms that the game will release towards the end of the year. As it’s effectively next-gen only, it should be quite interesting. That also seems to confirm that there will be a separate entry for PS3 and Xbox 360.
Not Assassin’s Creed V then, but perhaps a new direction for the series to take.

How is this going to work? Did they even have conveniently placed piles of hey on the streets of France?
‘Unity’ sounds like this could be a more connected/online AC game than we’re used to. I hope not but I can see it happening eventually.
