PlayStation 4 gets two gamesthis week, Hohokum and Surgeon Simulator: Anniversary Edition, plusa demo of P.T., aka Silent Hill, which was released yesterday as part of Sony’s Gamescom presentation.
The Vita gets Hohokum as well as the debut of Gravity Crash Ultra whilst those of you with PlayStation 3s can grab, yup, Hohokum and Risen 3:Titan Lords at the end of the week.
However the big news for those of you stuck on last gen is that the MMO shooter Defiance has gone free-to-play.

So glad Surgeon Simulator has arrived on PS4. I’ve not laughed as hard at anything as I did at the original free PC game and for the full one with new stuff as well, £7.19 (Plus discount) is a bargain.

I’ve no idea what’s going on with Hohokum. It’s odd. I’m sure there are things to do, but I’m just flying around with little people jumping on and off. It’s cute when they all put umbrellas up. Then some of them fell off, which is sad. But they just floated down to what I’m assuming is safety, so that’s ok.
Mind you, I’m dying of some horrible cold I’ve picked up from somewhere (possibly by being within a mile of some child, since they’re all horrible, diseased things). So I may just have been hallucinating everything that happened.
I’m predicting a wide range of opinions from “worst game ever” to “absolute genius”. Someone tell me if it’s real or not.

Oh, it’s real all right … and very, very odd.
Each ‘area’ seems to have some objectives (some more obvious than others) and some eyes that you need to open but other than that I’m as lost as you are.

Eyes seem to be collectibles. 146 of them.
As for the rest, yes, each area seems to have some objectives. Looks like there’s a main objective for each area that gives you something approaching story. Carrying people, or getting things to follow you seems to be key to interacting with other things leading to a chain of events that gets you the main objective.
Although to be honest, I could just float around listening to the music for a few hours.
I shall give the game a score of “some points out of a possible number”.
