Community Round-Up: 14/02/15

The 2015 Six Nations Championship opened in style last weekend (well, depending on who you support!), and I reckon we’re going to have a great tournament where every match and every point could count.

Meanwhile in the gaming world, things are starting to heat up again with Evolve being released earlier this week, and The Order: 1886 arriving next week. So, without further ado, let’s get started on this week’s Community Round-Up!

This week on the meets, there will probably be the usual GT6 on Monday and Battlefield on Friday.

If you’d rather play something else, you can add your own Meet to the list, provided you have more than 250 TSA Points.

Let’s start with the reviews and this week’s high scorer: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. The 3DS title was awarded an impressive 9/10 by Dom, who says that thanks to the many hours of addictive content, the game “could destroy your life”. Down just a point to 8/10 was The Escapists from Aran, followed by Evolve being given a 7/10. Stefan thought the thrill of the hunt was best when played with friends, although the AI can stand on its own feet when it needs to.

Episode 2 of Telltale’s Game of Thrones sadly wasn’t as good as the first, with Blair giving it a 5/10. Unfortunately, it seems this episode called The Lost Lords, appears more as a filler episode, so let’s hope the series picks up again which I’m sure it will. The last review of the week was for the New 3DS XL, which Dom shared his positive first impressions for Nintendo’s latest handheld, and we also have a handy list of the best games to get for it right now.

The previews were slightly quieter this week, with Stefan looking at Space Hulk: Deathwing and Tuffcub playing The Order 1886, describing how he fought his way across a bridge with the “impressively mustachioed Sir Galahad”.

Mobile Watch looked at Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy, another remaster coming to mobiles, while Blair was disappointed with Super Stardust Ultra, due to its lack of new content and very little changing since the HD release way back when the PS3 was first launched.

Meanwhile, the WeView Verdict for PES 2015 was a pretty positive result, while you can share your thoughts for the Battlefield Hardline Beta, which is the latest game under scrutiny. The Chronicle talked about SOE’s transfer to Daybreak, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Just Cause 3, plus had all your gaming achievements from last week.

Closing as we always do, Teflon replaced Peter in Episode 168 of the Podcast, while What We Played #190 shows you what the gang have been getting stuck into recently.

Again, it was a quiet week in the forums, but…

Well that’s all for your Round Up this week, I’ll be back again tomorrow for tomorrow’s Chronicle, so I’ll see you then – bye!
