Details On Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Leak Ahead Of Tuesday’s Reveal

Loose lips sink ships, as they say, so it’s a good thing that Assassin’s Creed has moved away from its nautical theme of late, because details from Tuesday’s big game reveal have leaked ahead of time, thanks to marketing material uncovered by Polygon.

Previously thought to be subtitled Victory, it appears that the upcoming game will now be called Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, though it still clearly has the same setting and theme which had itself leaked quite some time ago.

The marketing material promises to “transport millions of gamers to an astonishing recreation of London during the Industrial Revolution where they will find themselves immersed in a game world they’ll have to see to believe.” It will also see you stepping into the boots of a new protagonist, Jason Frye.

Oh, and you can expect to see a UK equivalent to the special edition that Gamestop has the exclusive for in the US, which will feature a one shilling coin on a necklace. Presumably Frye uses this in the game to get free snacks out of Victorian vending machines in the game… or something.

Either way, the game reveal is set for 5PM on Tuesday 12th May, and I think we can all just keep our fingers crossed that it doesn’t end up as roundly broken as Unity was.

  1. I think i’m gonna find it hard not to think of the classic Thief games when I get round to playing this…

  2. I wonder if they release some demo/beta to prove the stability of the game after unity.

And I’m not keen on the name. I’m not sure what it signifies? It just makes me think of buying lottery tickets en masse.

  3. I hope they show gameplay at the reveal and not just a dev diary with lots of talking.

  4. Can’t wait to use the Templars’ Persuadatron in this game.

  5. i’ve been a bit ambivalent about the AC series of late, but a Victorian London set game definitely has me interested.
i’m really hoping for a final dual on top of Tower Bridge.

now if only they can do the feudal Japan setting next.

ninjas, samurai, how would that not be awesome.

  6. I’m definitely interested in a Victorian London setting, but probably more as a historical tourist than an assassin.

    • After The Order’s Heritage Walk, I can see you putting in several hundred hours as a tourist, resulting in possibly several thousand pictures. ;)
I’m also quite interested as a historical tourist to find out what they had in their vending machines. I’m thinking bread or potatoes, or maybe they’d be a bit more luxurious and contain teacakes & scones. Cucumber Sandwiches!
