There is a little catch though, you have to play Gears of War: Ultimate Edition sometime between August 25th through to December 31st, 2015 on your Xbox One. If you meet that criteria you will receive Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3 and Gears of War: Judgment via the Xbox 360 backwards compatibility feature when it launches later this year.

  1. That sounds very interesting. What will happen for those of us who got Gears of war 3 from GwG last month? How do I check my 360 games compatible with Xbox one now?

  2. WhooHoo xD that is fantastic. Gotta love gears!!!

  3. I’ve already got Gears 3 & Judgement from GwG but this is looking like a great value package.

  4. Great value, shame they haven’t done anything for the PC edition though as that’s the one I’m considering getting. (can’t really justify getting an X1).

Well done none the less, they’re really pushing the backwards compatability, come on Sony step up to the plate!
We just need a Netflix style with Psnow, none of this 7days rental crap.

  5. That’s pretty damn good value considering the game is sub-30 pounds at the moment, and if online play is preserved, well that’s fantastic too.

  6. A great, if unusual, package. Compared to the master chief collection.
