Activision and Platinum Games have released a new trailer for  Transformers: Devastation which shows off the different attack styles and combos for each of the Autobots. Bumblebee is fast but lacks power, Wheeljack prefers ranged weapons whilst Grimlock… oh my! Sqeee! Look at that! He does a little stompy dance on the Decepticons! And headbutts things! Why has he got a hammer though, where is is sword? Oh who cares, he’s got the proper voice actor as well! Me Grimlock King! Rawwwr! Stompy stompy chompy chompy! Yassss!

Activision have also revealed the pre-order bonuses and in the tradition of Transformers, they are repaints, or more precisely, reskins. Optimus Prime becomes Nemesis Prime, Sideswipe becomes Red Alert, whilst Bumblebee is remade as Goldfire. Not Goldbug. Which is silly because no one remembers Goldfire, he’s not a classic character, even I had to look up who he was. Each character also gets a new weapon.
Transformers: Devastation is slated for release at the start of October for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Exciting stuff. The gameplay just makes any Bayformer action look pants, this is what Transformers is all about! I hope someone says ‘shit’ in it.

Colour me very pleasantly surprised. I love the cel-shaded art style, it really seems to work on this game.

This looks awesome! It’s a shame they’ve not got the rights for the cars likeness, but it’s understandable too.
I hope Sunstreak, Mirage and Warpath (unlikely) makes an appearance.
