PS+ Subscribers Can Get Driveclub And Its Season Pass For £16

We’re not sure when this went live, but if you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber you can upgrade your free version of Driveclub to the full game and grab the Season Pass for £15.99.

The Season Pass includes:

  • 38 amazing cars from the world’s leading manufacturers.
  • 176 extra Tour events for your single player career mode.
  • 80 PlayStation trophies to earn from the extra Tour events.
  • 80 livery designs to customise your cars with.

On the other hand, if you are after just the game then you can pick that up for £11.99, and the season pass itself has been knocked down to £9.99.

These are all rather permanent looking price drops for Driveclub, but there are more temporary PS4 deals this week as well, which include Killzone Shadow Fall for £11.99 and Knack for £14.99.

  1. So is there any mention of whether there is a reduction on the season pass itself?

May pick it up if its reasonable, as I’ll now have more time on my hands to play it because of not playing destiny.

    • Nope, not by the look of it, Season Pass still £9.99

      • That IS the sale price.

      • Well that’s rubbish :P

      • Either way, thanks for the info! ;)

I’d need to investigate what that actually includes to determine whether its good value for money, but a tenner doesn’t seem too bad in terms of pass pricing.

      • It’s as rubbish as writing a news piece on a store sale and not taking a minute to get some basic info first. ;)

      • Forrest, at £20, it was the best value season pass I’ve ever seen. At £10,the value is biblical.

    • The Season Pass was £20, the sale price is £9.99.
£20 was fantastic value for money for the Season Pass, so £9.99 is Double fantastic value for the Season Pass!

I could be wrong here, but I’m pretty sure you get more Tour Events (races) in the Season Pass than the whole game. Most of the tracks are variations of existing ones, but when you introduce the new cars, weather variations & different challenges its more than worth it

  2. Nice! I can’t check at work but is there any deal on just the season pass? If not I’d be happy paying for this and the digital convenience it’ll provide.

    • It’s only £9.99. Half the price it was originally. And a lot of stuff your £9.99 too.

If you’ve already got a physical copy, buy the season pass or trade it in somewhere and buy the bundle. It’ll cost about the same either way. (Game offer a whole £6 in store credit for it ;)

      • Ah brilliant cheers buddy, hadn’t seen it drop from £20!

  3. Also, I love how the very first paragraph says “We’re not sure when this went live” just above a picture with the words “Released 4 Sep 2015” on.

Let me guess. It went live today? ;)

I don’t think it actually counts as a sale either. Looks more like a permanent price drop and a new bundle.

  4. When was the season pass reduced to half price? I must have missed that, no excuse not to pick it up now!

  5. Best bang for buck-so much to do and so much fun to be had.

  6. What difference is there between the full game and the ps+ version? The reason I’m asking is I’m tempted to get the pass, but if there’s not much difference I don’t want to pay out for the full game as well.

    • Or have you got to buy the full version before you can get the pass? (if you know what I mean)

      • The PS+ version only has 1 location (India) with 13 tracks and 15 cars.

The full version gets 6 locations, lots more tracks and far too many cars. 78 tracks and “over 50” cars, apparently.

The season pass has a bunch more events, and some cars. 18 extra tours (with 5 trophies each, if you like that sort of thing, making a ridiculous 122 trophies in total).

And the season pass only applies to the full version, not the PS+ version.

So a lot of extra stuff in the full version for £11.99, or buy the bundle for an extra 4 quid and double the amount of game again.

    • 50 or 60 more tracks and lot more cars in the full version. Pus many new events with additional trophies.

      • You beat me to it! But due to the power of weirdly nested replies, my answer comes first. And has more numbers ;)

      • Cheers guys, seriously tempted now.Just what I need, another game to put on my backlog pile.

  7. Killzone for £12? I’m getting that this evening!

  8. Utter bargain at £16 for DC+sp, tempted to get that season pass now for the tenner!

    • Go for it Freeze, the cars in the Season Pass are stunning! I’m working my way through them still :)

      • Took your advice, downloading it. Just checked my trophy count for DriveClub and it’s sitting at 35% with the Platinum….lol that’s a lot of DLC then!

  9. Knack MORE than Killzone?!

  10. I already have the physical copy of the game so I’m trying to decide whether to buy the season pass for £9.99 or sell my physical copy and get the game + season pass for £15.99.

Decisons, decisons. Am I right in thinking I’d just have to delete the physical install and download the digital copy? I wouldn’t lose the save data or experience any complications with it, would I?

    • Sounds like a great plan although whether the physical saves are compatible with digital seems to be an anomaly of uncertainty but the general consensus from what I’ve read is that the savedata should carry over between the two…..I’d read more on the subject though dude before committing as the PS3 was a swine with this!

      • Thanks for the heads up mate. I’ll look it into it some more before I make a decision. Guess it all depends how much I get for it anyway.

        Cheers!
