Formula 1 heads to Sochi, with a lot of questions needing answers. Will the Red Bull team compete next season? Whose engines will they use? What will happen if F1 is sold this year? And what is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
With all these questions floating around, the only one I can really answer is what are we here for? Well, obviously, it’s this week’s Community Round-Up!
Looking at the Meets, chances are that Monday will see the usual Project CARS meet, with the odd Rocket League or GTA V Meet thrown in elsewhere.
If you’d rather play something else, you can add your own Meet to the list, provided you have more than 250 TSA Points.
Let’s begin with the previews, as they were relatively quiet this week. Stefan gave us his impressions of the Star Wars Battlefront beta, which I know a lot of people have been playing with mixed feelings. We also had Parts 2 and 3 of Indie Focus at EGX, with the staff bringing us more highlights.
On now to the reviews, and we had two games on the top spot with 8/10’s. Kris described Prison Architect as “easy to recommend to anyone with an interest in management sims”, while Dom loved the “phenomenal” Elite: Dangerous. Dropping down a point, we had another two games sharing a score. Mark looked at The Escapists: The Walking Dead, which is a time and resource management game with an 8-bit art style, as Dave reviewed Blood Bowl 2.
Dom gave a 6/10 to Saint Seiya: Soldiers’ Soul, while Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is a broken mess worthy of just a 3/10 from Aran. Lastly, Jim had a look at Samurai Warriors 4-II, a ‘definitive edition’ that doesn’t really need to exist.
TSA overdosed on interviews this week, with 4 to be exact. We started with Kris and Prison Architect, and he also had a chat about Homefront: The Revolution too. Stefan, not wanting to be outdone, brought us Rainbow Six Siege, and also threw in an interview for Need for Speed.
Mobile Watch featured The Deer God, as the latest Open Forum asked if video game subscriptions have changed. Last week’s Chronicle included talk on Rainbow Six Siege lacking single player, Burnout sequels, and October’s PS+ offerings.
Finishing off in the usual way, the Podcast returns with Episode 196, and What We Played #224 includes Elite, Battlefront and Blood Bowl.

Before we finish, there’s time for a quick check on the Forums:
- Avenger has a thread to discuss the Battlefront Beta,
- And he’s also looking for Xbox One friends.
- Everyone has a gaming backlog, and fillip2k wants to know what’s in yours?
And there we have it; enjoy your weekend!
