There’s only 12 days left until Christmas, and so I’ve decided to be slightly more proactive this year and to get some of my shopping done this weekend. Whether that means braving the cold and actually leaving the house as opposed to ordering from the internet, we’ll have to wait and see. Let me know if you have an exciting plans for the weekend, as we begin this week’s Community Round-Up!
Looking at the Meets, chances are that Monday will see the usual Project CARS meet, with the odd Rocket League or GTA V Meet thrown in elsewhere.
If you’d rather play something else, you can add your own Meet to the list, provided you have more than 250 TSA Points.
This week in the reviews, Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey was our high scorer. Coincidentally, it was also our low scorer, as it was in fact our only review. Sadly, it isn’t a great game, as Dave gave it a measly 4/10 thanks to its bugs, dull story and boring combat.
Things weren’t much busier on the preview front either. First, Stefan looked at Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter, the sequel to Crimes & Punishment from Frogwares. Next, he strapped himself in and blasted off for a go with EVE: Valkyrie. You can also see some footage of the game, or read his interview with lead game designer, Andrew Willan.
The world has come a long way since Fat Princess was first released on PS3 way back in ’09, and it has finally come to PS4 in the form of Fat Princess Adventures. Stefan enjoyed it, although did miss the much loved multiplayer aspect. Another game with a celebrated multiplayer is Destiny, and the introduction of the Sparrow Racing League should keep fans busy for a little while longer.
From the blogs, Jim asked whether the stripped-back Star Wars Battlefront offers good value for money, and explained why he was done with Star Wars: Galaxy Of Heroes thanks to its endless microtransactions. Elsewhere, Stefan delve into the growing importance of Sony’s Playstation Experience Event.
Elsewhere, this week’s Mobile Watch looked at a couple of sniper games – Kill Shot Bravo and Sniper Fury – as Dave continued his Fallout 4 playthrough as Forrest Gump. While there was no Chronicle last week (I’m blaming The Lone Steven*), in the Open Forum, Jim wondered what makes a GOTY? *He probably had nothing to do with it. Probably.
This week’s The Year According To Podcasts featured Mariina Hallikainen of Colossal Order (makers of Cities: Skylines) as well as our very own Tuffcub. Lastly, What We Played #233 included Tomb Raider, SteamWorld Heist and Uncharted 4.

Not much has changed in the Forums this week:
- Mcphatty adds some Battlefront footage, while Avenger posts a bit of Gears of War to the videos thread
- Del wants to know how your Fallout Settlements are getting on?
- And Youles wonders what’s on your radar for 2016?
Enjoy your weekend, and I’ll be back soon! A

May all your xmas shopping be without the added ‘bonus’ of escorting a parent/partner who wants you to try on three sizes of everything! :)

Instead of ‘There’s only 12 days left until Christmas’, I’d rather say that there’s only 5 days left until the film we’ve all been waiting for for about 32 years… ;o)
However, I’m aware I’m probably one of the few on this site who saw the first one in the cinema back then, and I’m not debating the cultural importance of Christmas either.
The Lone Steven
AAAAR, I AM THE LONE STEVEN, GAZZAGB YOU CAUSED THE LACK OF CHRONICLE BY CLIMBING UP THE MOUNTAIN OF SPIRITS AND PLANTING THE SECRET OF NIM! YOU WILL GET INTO THE SPACESHIP AND GO TO SPACE MOUNTAIN FOR THE LONE STEVEN TO DEFEAT YOU USING THE WAY OF THE WARRIOR! i AM THE BATMAN! I OMEGA FROM PARTS UNKNOWN, GAZZAGB! I NEED SCISSORS 61! I DO THE CHAR CHAR LIKA LITTLE GIRL! *SKRONK* I PUT YOU INTO THE GORILLA PRESS AND BEAT YOU IN 3 SECONDS FLAT, GAZZAGB! AAAR! I AM THE DELTA AND THE BETA OF THE ALPHA OF THE RUSSIAN DANCER! I AM ****ING INSANE! HOAK HOGAN ***** SUCKS!
And i’ve not even had any coffee so far. Is TSA entertained by the Steven Warrior? No? Fine, i’ll never try to do that again and just burn the tassles.
Also, i had nothing to do with the chronicle not happening and any claims of me kidnapping the staff to lecture about the finer points of drinking tea or exposing them to millions of hours of paint watch are completely false and was caused by the likes of IGN. Yes, they kidnapped the staff to midly annoy TSA so that we give up the secret of the strap match and adopt the darkness as our ally.
Short version: Steven’s back with a vegance with the insanity. and with eggs.
