At last, Anakin Skywalker is coming to Star Wars Battlefront II next week

Battlefront II has been resurgent during a sweeping season of Clone Wars content, bringing a steady trickle of new content to the game in a way that wasn’t possible after its troubled launch. General Grievous and a Clone Wars era Obi-Wan were the first two heroes, followed by Count Dooku, but next week sees the addition of an Anakin Skywalker reaching the peak of his powers.

Here’s EA teasing his addition:

The update will also be bringing changes to how clone troopers appear in the game, phasing out existing designs (which you can keep using if you really want) in favour of new ones that have more distinct class-based markings on the bodies, and not just different helmets. Naval officers previously only had a naval uniform option, but these will now have armour, just like other classes.

The number of legions you’ll be able to choose from will now include:

  • New Default “Shinies” (incl. Navy Officer)
  • 501st Battalion
  • 327th Star Corps
  • 91st Recon Corps (w/ new helmet)
  • 104th Wolf Pack
  • 212th Attack Battalion
  • Coruscant Guard
  • 41st Elite Corps
  • 181st Armor Division
  • 41st Ranger Platoon

Legion bundles will cost 60,000 credits or 1,500 crystals. Legion bundles will contain all of the Phase II Appearances for a specific Legion. Individual troopers will cost 20,000 credits each, or 500 crystal, while Phase I variants will remain as “common” appearances and cost 5,000 credits each, or 150 crystals. If you own an existing Phase I legion, the equivalent Phase II version will be given to you for free.

All players will also receive a Legion Crate, which will include:

  • 41st Ranger Platoon (Phase I and II)
  • All 4 Phase I Appearances for the 41st, 91st, 104th, 212th, and 327th Legion.
  • 60,000 credits
