Something for the Weekend – 27/04/19

Storm Hannah has put a fairly swift end to the spell of good weather we were all enjoying, but at least last weekend was warm and sunny and we can hide away in cinemas watching Avengers: Endgame. Remember not to spoil it for people, OK?

Time now to see what happened on TSA over this shorter week…

In the News This Week

Games in Review

It was a rare occasion this week, whereby a Sony AAA exclusive didn’t earn itself widespread acclaim. I can’t remember the last time we had such a mediocre reception for a game like this.

Reviewed platform in bold.

This Week’s Features

Alongside all the reviews, Dom revisited Cuphead and Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster as they both recently debuted on Nintendo Switch, while Ade cooked up a storm in the Overcooked 2: Campfire Cook Off DLC.

Through all of that, you won’t be surprised to read we didn’t manage to get through any previews this week. However, Tef did find some time to spend with the Lead Designer of Insurgency: Sandstorm to check up on how the game is fairing on PC – and ask about when we can see the console version.

Last up, we finished the week with What We Played, featuring World War Z, Mortal Kombat 11 & Days Gone.
