Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the fastest selling digital title in the franchise

It seems Respawn has struck gold with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order as EA has confirmed that the game is the fastest digital selling Star Wars game in its first two weeks, besting the likes of Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Battlefront II. When it comes to PC Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the top selling EA Star Wars title in the launch window.

Respawn’s Vince Zampella had the following to say:

“On behalf of Respawn and EA, we thank everyone for their support of the studio and the team throughout the development and launch of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Telling a story in the Star Wars galaxy is a dream come true and the reception from the fans has been incredible. With the launch of the game, the debut of The Mandalorian and the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, it’s a great time to be a Star Wars fan!”

The story, which is set after Order 66 is carried out, follows Jedi padawan Cal Kestis as he looks to survive the hunt that the Empire is engaged in. In our review of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Jim had the following say:

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is exactly the kind of single player game we had originally hoped to see when EA and Disney joined forces. Even if you strip away the license, you’re left with a super satisfying mix or combat, story, and exploration, deftly crafted by a studio best known for spearheading an entirely different genre.

  1. Well deserved, very good game. Sadly I’m nearing it’s end, it’s one of not many that I’d like to go for platinum on.
