The HyperMotion technology comes from Xsens suits which were worn by 22 professional players. The players wore these while playing a 11v11 match, with the suits capturing every movement to then translate into the game. EA states that this will offer the most realism in any FIFA game. On top of that the HyperMotion tech also embeds a machine learning algorithm that will analyse all frames, and create new animations in real time. The new gen versions of FIFA 22 will also have improved player AI with each one of the pitch able to make more 6x more decisions compared to the older gen and PC versions of the game. Ball control should also be more fluid with players able to bring balls under better control. New player animations will include players giving pointing and giving instructions to team mates.

There will be two versions of the game, bar the Switch’s Legacy Edition, with those being Standard and Ultimate. The difference between the two is below.

Standard Edition

  • Team of the Week 1 Player Item
  • Kylian Mbappe Loan Item
  • FUT Ambassador Loan Player Pick
  • Career Mode Homegrown Talent

Ultimate Edition

  • Team of the Week 1 Player Item

  • Career Mode Homegrown Talent
