Gamescom has been in full swing this week, with its streams from Opening Night Live to awesome Indies revealing a bunch of games and updates. Dom and Tef now have the job of writing up all their previews from the show itself, but did anything stand out for you in particular?
Elsewhere, we’re enjoying an extended weekend in the UK, and the weather is surprisingly good for a bank holiday!

Turning our attention to the previews, Stefan brought us four for our attention this week. Starting with the familiar, yet never-the-less highly anticipated Splatoon 3, he is really looking forward to its release in a fortnight.
He then moved on to another sequel, PGA Tour 2K23, where the new triple-click swing addition opens up the game to more casual players, without dumbing down the difficulty of hitting the perfect shot.
Fans of Dead Space should keep an eye on The Callisto Protocol (which looks far too scary for me), while The Last Worker nails the dystopian future of a worker in a fulfilment centre. Keep an eye out for more to come along over the weekend!
Last up, What We Played featured Rollerdrome, Genshin Impact and a bunch of stuff from Gamescom.

Here’s what you in our community has been up to this week:
- willbuchanan continues his way through LEGO Batman 3 on Vita, with the platinum trophy in reach – but, as it will be his 150th platinum, he’s putting that on pause to replace with something a bit more special, such as AC Brotherhood.
- And Andrewww continued to play Everspace, but is feeling the desire to step away from its Roguelike structure with a return to Elite dangerous. Alongside that, Red Dead Redemption 2 has been “better than I expected”.
I hope you have a great bank holiday, and I’ll be back soon!
