Change is a regular thing in the world. But, for so many of us, the Queen has been one of the only constant in all our lives which, for me at least, makes her passing all the more poignant. It will be strange not having her as the figurehead for our country.

But that’s probably not why you’ve come to a video games site, is it? So let’s look back at all the gaming news of the last week in this roundup!

Stefan described Splatoon 3 as “the same old Splatoon we know and love, and that’s still pretty great” as it shared the top spot with Stellrising.

Dom launched the previews with Inkulinati, a turn-based tactics game with a unique visual style, as Stefan took a look at The Great War: Western Front which revisits WW1.

Continuing the gritty theme, he went hands on with Serial Cleaners, a sequel which sees new characters Vip3r, Lati, and Psycho join Bob on his stealthy missions.

Rounding off the Gamescom previews, American Arcadia is an interesting take on the Truman Show set-up, while Miasma Chronicles makes solid steps over its predecessor, Mutant Year Zero.

  • MrYd sampled the new PS+ offerings, before suggesting 3 indies people should try: Arcade Paradise, Cult of the Lamb and Inscryption.
  • hornet1990 continued his journey in Far Cry 5, getting close to taking on the first family member.
  • And willbuchanan inches closer to the platinums in AC Brotherhood and Lego Harry Potter. His sights are already set on Far Cry 3 and some more LEGO games on Vita!
