With Tokyo Game Show this week, there’s been a flurry of announcements, trailers and general news coming out about a bunch of highly anticipated games. It feels like Street Fighter 6 has really stolen the spotlight from TGS, but Nintendo had a strong Nintendo Direct, and for many gamers, this weekend is really all about the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II beta on Playstation.

Featured Articles
There’s a bunch to talk about this week, most notably with Nick getting to go hands on with Street Fighter 6, checking Ken’s return to what is already feeling like an essential fighting game.
Aside from that, I had plenty more thoughts and previews to share, including the great space RTS revival of Homeworld 3 and the space sequel of Deliver Us Mars. I then came back down to Earth for the more brutal action of A Plague Tale: Requiem, and the layered racing experience of Dakar Desert Rally.
Rounding out the week, as always, was What We Played, which this week featured Street Fighter 6, Metal: Hellsinger and Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Your Achievements
Here’s what you in our community have been up to this week:
- Andrewww started playing Returnal, but is still finding the procedurally generated runs a little disorienting. After that he pulled out his PSVR and played through most of Red Matter, which is the first game to make using Move controllers feel good, in his opinion.
- Trawling through his back catalogue still, willbuchanan grabbed the co-op trophies in Far Cry 3 on PS3, before “accidentally” getting the platinum in Lego Legends of Chima Laval’s Journey on PS Vita.
- Having offed John in Far Cry 5, hornet1990 is now off to capture his bunker.
- And MrYd snapped up the platinum in Toem from PS+, continues to enjoy the excellent Inscryption, has been grinding through events in Grid Legends, and checked out a few PS5 upgraded games on PS+ Extra’s library.
Enjoy your weekend and I’ll see you again soon!
