Something for the Weekend – 09/12/23

Grand Theft Auto VI GTA 6 header

It’s been a great week in the gaming world; we kicked off with the trailer for GTA VI, and rounded things off with a whole bunch of announcements and trailers from this year’s Game Awards!

A lot of things aren’t coming until 2025, which might seem a long way off for now. Still, it means there’s plenty time to recap the last seven days in our latest round up!

In the News This Week

Games in Review & Featured Articles

It was another strong showing for the reviews, as we edge closer to Christmas:

Dom is still working his way through his review of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, but it’s clear that he’s impressed with what Ubisoft have created thanks to it’s amazing visuals. He was similarly impressed with Asgard’s Wrath 2, which he says is “set to be the biggest VR title of the year”.

And then finally, What We Played featured Arizona Sunshine 2, Highland Song & Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

Your Achievements

Here’s what you in our community have been up to this week:

  • Andrewww has been enjoying Ghostwire:Tokyo and Hotshot Racing – finding that his daughter is a natural behind the wheel!
  • And we wish MrYd’s a speedy recovery after a cycling accident, but it means he’s had time for some more relaxed gaming. That’s meant Diablo 4, Disgaea 7, AC Mirage, giving The Finals a quick go, and the clutch of new PS+ monthly games – “Powerwash Simulator is weirdly relaxing. The Lego racing game is a bit meh so far, and Sable is clearly horribly broken performance-wise.”

Have a good weekend and I’ll catch you again soon!
