God Of War: Ascension’s Game Director, Todd Papy, has just announced that a multiplayer beta for the game will be coming soon.
Posting on the PlayStation Blog, it was announced that the multiplayer beta will be available first to PlayStation Plus subscribers, though there will be other ways to enter the beta. A new trailer has been released to show off the multiplayer mode.
At the beginning of the multiplayer your character has to choose which God to pledge allegiance to: Zeus, Hades, Poseidon or Ares. Depending on who you choose you will get different abilities and combat styles. The more XP you earn the more weapons, armour, treasures and abilities you can unlock.
The multiplayer and a single player demo will be available to play at Gamescom this week. God Of War: Ascension will launch next year.

I love the idea of choosing a god to ally yourself with. Opens up a lot of potential for different modes.
