This Week’s Features
What with Good Friday yesterday, we only had four days to fill with features, and fill them we did! On the proto-review side of things, Miguel dove back into the fantastical world of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix, while we skirted around the issue of having to review Drawn To Death with Tuffcub waxing lyrical about how terrible it is, calling it the Nicki Minaj of video games.
We continued to round up previews and hands on times from EGX Rezzed, with a trio of Nongunz, See You on the Other Side and Minesheeper in Kris’ preview periscope. Dave also got to go hands on with Sonic Mania, looking at its wonderful retro nuance as well as their new found fan focussed attitude.
I also had a busy week. I got to go hands on with the second hour of Prey, digging into the early Typhon abilities and turning myself into a pair of scissors. If you’re curious about how the game plays, we highlight ten things to know about it in our video.
We also returned to Watch Dogs 2 this week, going hands on with the new content being added to the game next week. All players will be getting their hands on two new multiplayer modes and a paintball gun, while if you’ve got the season pass or pick up the No Compromise DLC, you’ll get hands on with a new single player story and a pair of premium non-lethal weapons.
After thirteen years, Kate Walker is back and on another adventure across Siberia in Syberia 3. We went hands on with a new instalment in the classic adventure game series.
We were also party to an event that Sony hosted to showcase some of their upcoming PSVR games, demonstrating some of the innovative new ideas on the system. Farpoint made for an excellent demo, highlighting its co-op action shooter credentials, despite having a case of peripheral-itis, but it was the boxy puzzles of Tarsier Studios’ Statik that really captured my imagination.
And finally, What We Played, where everyone played and hated Drawn to Death, while Yooka-Laylee divided opinions, and we all looked forward to Easter

Happy Easter folks, a happy secular chocolate rabbit and egg but no Jesus weekend to you if you prefer, or Happy Star Wars Celebration if like me you can’t get enough of those laser swords and scruffy looking nerf herders!
The Lone Steven
Not really due to me having reached 24 and not even had a single proper job beyond two crappy factory ones and an appprenticeship. Thus Easter is something I no longer do. That and i’ve kinda just stopped liking easter eggs. I mean, I don’t hate them but i rather just eat a chocolate bar. I don’t know, it may be due to me being closer to an old fart then the young’uns. That said, Star Wars:The Last Jedi, i’m guessing another mem…..aaah crap,I can’t even say that as that is both too soon and too tragic. :( But the Last Jedi? That either means something tragic will happen thus Rey becomes the Last one or erm….. it episode 3’s it again. If so, not orginal guys and well, you can’t really retread that as that kinda furthers the notion that 7 was a retelling of 4 in a bid to try to win back fans.
Battlefront 2… in fact, no, feck that, Battlefront 4(Battleafront 4?), it better have space combat from the start, seemless transitions from planet to space and star destroyers to be pilotable. I mean, if Battlefield can do it with ships a decade ago, surely controlling spaceships is easy? And it must be proper space combat, not linear stuff.
I hope that Conquest is brought back, given steroids on steroids. I’m kinda thinking a mixture of Total War and Battlefront.
Dr Who is back and well, kinda not fussed. I mean, I will watch it but after last season? I kinda just meh. That and the bulls*** last episode with Clara. I mean, feck you! No, feck you, writers. You had the balls to do what none of the modern series did and then retcon it and turn her into full on mary sue? I mean, feck you! No. Just no. You…… a……..AAARGh!
I have low hopes for this season but hopefully, I will *sees Matt Lucas is in it* Son of a ****! This may suck but hopefully, tolerable levels of suck and not 11 levels of “OH COME ON! REALLY?!” followed by staring at the wall.
Oh and Easter for me is Dragon’s Dogma;Dark Arisen playthrough 2 with Dark Arisen being conquered at some point. Dark Souls is much fairer then Dark Arisen(that said, it is actually a very fair game. It just loves to beat you up for any mistake you make).
Of course, that’s provided we all reach monday if the orange man in the white house doesn’t cause WW3 and we are all reduced to ash by tuesday.
