Nintendo Switch System Update 15.0.0 makes minor improvements

Nintendo has released a new system software update for the Nintendo Switch, with version 15.0.0 now available to download and install.

Nintendo Switch Update 15.0.0 makes a few minor tweaks and improvements to the console, making the Bluetooth Audio options easier to find, letting you capture screenshots in the Nintendo Switch Online app on the consoles and making the usual system stability improvements.

While not noted, we’ve also noticed the Switch will pop up a new window explaining some quirks of cloud backups for different users. This might be a one-time pop-up or something that occurs more regularly while syncing.

It’s small compared to the folder-like game organisation options added in Version 14.0.0 in March, and there’s still plenty of ways I’m sure many Switch owners would wish the system software to be tweaked – is it too late for themes to be added? – but it’s good to see them still taking minor steps forward.

Here’s the Version 15.0.0 patch notes:

  • The location of the Bluetooth® Audio menu within System Settings has moved.
  • Screenshots can be taken using the Capture Button while in the Nintendo Switch Online application found on the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu – Video capture is not supported.
  • General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience.
