As we’ve been hinting at all week, Home 1.0 is now available for existing beta testers. We couldn’t get past the “initialising” screen, presumably it’s busy with lots of people trying to get on (great stress test indication) so we’ll check later. It’s worth mentioning that Home is now a proper part of the XMB, next to the Store, as can be seen in our photograph above.
So, get on, download the client (still about 80MB) and see if you can connect up. If we ever get as far as the EULA we’ll be able to see if we can finally talk about Home. If not, well, we’re sure the open beta isn’t far away.

Try to avoid doing the “first post” thing. And also, you’ve been wasting your time today. Invites are being sent out tomorrow. Finding out this news has got me really excited about Home again, what about everyone else?

Reasonably excited, it’ll be nice to poke around it with friends, but I have a feeling for some of us it’ll be a short lived novelty unless there’s content on there we can get through a regular menu/website on the PS3 too.

I hear they’re taking down the servers for maintenance as v1.0 goes live.
As for invites I never got one
But hear they’re talking about a major stress test on the 21st. Whether this is true is anyones guess. Major stress test = many more people needed

Yea invites tomorrow. I hope i get one, they say that it is based on ‘activity’ on the playstation network including the store. Well im on at 24/7 i leave it on folding, watching blu-rays and dvds, and sometimes to actually play games
I also spend quite allot in the store, so i think i deserve one. Im also a beta trial member with scce already so…i cross my fingers for everyone and hope to see you all there. For those who are regular visitors of sixth axis we should all meet up and have a party!

Havin read up on the new features on another less scrupulous site i think i’m a bit more interested. My pal has just deleted his beta off his system because it just never impressed. Having seen it i kind of agreed but would still like to have a look.

I reheeeeealy hope I get an invite to the next round. It would almost make up for my stupidly long googlemail address because I didn’t care enough to get a cool gmail one at the start. Almost.
I’d even buy a keyboard thingy although the official one isn’t out for a nother week so that probably isn’t an incentive for Sony to invite me…

I saw one guy on my friend’s list playing/using Home yesterday, I was so jealous! Honestly, I can’t wait for Home to come along now. Had forgot it for a while, but it has grown again ^^,
