As I’m in a rush, but eager to bring you the news, here it is.

Those awesome looking time trial maps that got delayed a little while back are out today, costing £7 for nine maps, with us PS3 owners getting a tenth map for free.

More information in the press release below:

Leave the city behind! DICE announced today that the highly acclaimed first-person action adventure title, Mirror’s Edge™ has released downloadable content (DLC) for the PLAYSTATION®3, the Xbox 360® and the PC.

Players will be challenged to achieve the fastest times possible on nine races across seven all-new and totally redesigned Time Trial maps. No guns, no cops, and no city: this is true aesthetics, agility and flow that will challenge any runner. This special DLC pack is available for £7 or 800 Microsoft points. As an added bonus, all PLAYSTATION 3 Mirror’s Edge fans can now download an additional map for free.

Time Trial is a popular mode in Mirror’s Edge that challenges players to find the fastest route across various maps. Players can upload their best time to the Mirror’s Edge leaderboards for their friends to download and compete against. Players can see their friend’s ‘ghost’ run as they race their way through the course to the top of the leaderboards.

Mirror’s Edge delivers players straight into the shoes of Faith, a modern day heroine who traverses the vertigo-inducing cityscape, engaging in intense combat, fast-paced chases and challenging puzzles. With a never-before-seen sense of movement and perspective, players are drawn into Faith’s dangerous world.

Players can also experience Faith in 2D this Friday when the hand-crafted animation and old school platform game by Brad Borne, creator of Fancy Pants, goes live at www.mirrorsedge2d.com

  1. sweet, been waiting a while for this. sounding like it’s gonna be a good update today :-D
    also Me 2D? intruiging…

  2. That sounds cool, I’m gona try these soon.. When I get money.

  3. Meh. Mirror’s Edge was crap anyway, worst £40 of my life.

    • 40 quid?

It was 20 after a week

      • I don’t have very good judgement when it comes to shopping.

    • I disagree

    • You got bumped

  4. feb is the month for gaming! Dlc support Ftw!!!!!!

    • Don’t forget that other game… K-something. Meh.
      ;)

  5. I don’t want this in the slightest…the free map was god awful and vomit inducingly ugly. Plus the time trial mode is boring as hell anyway! I just want my Burnout DLC!!! Come on Sony, get yourselves in order, and set a specific store update time for each week! And make it before 4!!!

    • Damn right, I think it sucks that we have to wait ALL day for store updates, I bet the US does not have to wait this long.

As for Mirror’s Edge, ok fair enough I got it new from down and out Woolies before they closed for good for 20 quid, but WORST 20 QUID spent EVER! Bring on Burnout!!!!!

      • On the east coast we have gotten it as late as 830PM (I remember because it was the update that brought SARPBC).
Although generally it comes in around 7, I imagine that is because it translates to 4PM on the west coast.

  6. Fantastic! I love Mirror’s Edge!

  7. I still need to finish the game. Haven’t touched it since the bit in the car park out the back of the truck. That infuriated me immensely. That might be because I was trying to get the no shots fired trophy but still…

I’m undecided. It looks gorgeous but will that be it?

  8. An extra map just for the ps3! SHOVE THAT UP YOUR Xbox!!!
