Start up that rumour mill lads, we’ve got some speculating to do. Over at the Official PlayStation website there is a mightily intriguing teaser. The words “An electrifying announcement, will be revealed, 4-27-09” appear with pictures from both InFamous and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, placed in between. I’ll admit now, I haven’t the foggiest idea what it could be, but I’m sure you lot have a thousand ideas; so come on, let’s hear them.
Update 25/04/09: As I suggested in the comments, this is all about getting a demo with the pre-order of inFamous, confirmed by Kotaku. Only confirmed for the US just now, via a leak from Best Buy, but the most interesting thing is the fact that our recent rumours about Uncharted 2 being multiplayer were indeed true. Looks like inFamous could well be quite the smash hit for Sony, then, but we hope people judge the game on its own merit.

That sounds like a good guess rothbury, it would be a good way to get inFAMOUS sales up and the promote a game that pretty much everyone loves. The same thing happened with the crackdown/halo beta keys, crackdown wasn’t the greatest but it sold a lot just because of the halo 3 beta.
