Speaking to Geoff Keighley on GTTV, Heavy Rain maestro David Cage has not only confirmed that his next game is mostly written, but hinted at the possibility that it would be with us “sooner than you think.”
He states:
“I have written the next game and have a very clear idea. It’s not fully written, it’s in the synopsis stage, but I have a very clear idea of where I want to go next.”
Responding to the suggestion that we have a long wait ahead of us before it hits, Cage responded:
“Yeah, maybe less than you think.”
Whatever it is, we’re confident that it’s not Heavy Rain 2. Stating on numerous occasions that he would like to move on to another universe, Cage is banking on the upcoming Heavy Rain Chronicles (the Taxidermist arrives on April 1st) to be sufficient for those of you looking for a further Madison fix.
Finally, with the revelation that Heavy Rain was originally planned as a PlayStation Move title, you can confidently call your bookie right now and bet the farm that this upcoming title will incorporate the motion controller device in one way or another.
