It’s not just 3D Blu-ray playback being added next week in the new 3.50 firmware, it looks like the PS3 system software update will also add a few other tweaks to the system. Connected Consoles noticed the official Japanese information page for the update claims that two new features will also be added:

If you get an unwanted PSN message (and we’ve all had a few) then you can now report them directly from the XMB, hopefully putting an end to some of the ridiculous spam and phishing attempts we’ve seen.
Facebook®対応ゲームからFacebook®に公開している情報にアクセスできるようになりました。
And that looks like additional Facebook support – in particular it appears you’ll be able to post from the game, assuming you’ve given permission from that particular game to transmit your details. This sort of thing (along with Twitter) is very popular on the iPhone platform.
So, yep – two new features, but remember the big thing is the playback of 3D Blu-rays. Firmware 3.50 is out next week.

This is great news, i am sick to death of the messages asking to game share. Its like they look at my profile see the plus sign compare trophy’s and see all the games i have from psn then send a message to game share….

What happens to the people though when you report it? Some times its just people on my friends list that send them, I don’t want to get them banned from PSN. If it’s total strangers, then I’ll report it.

If you friend sends them to you explain to them about it try tell them not to do that again. Strangers yes report them right away.
I’m so happy that it is happening I’m sick and tired of these messages.

We’ve had it since day 1.
Resistance FoM seems to be the only game supporting it though, just press Print-Screen on your PS3’s USB keyboard (don’t have one? you should have one, go get one!) and the image will appear in your Pictures folder.

Can’t you already post to FaceBook from the game?
I’m pretty certain Blur has asked me if I want to do it (to which I said “No thanks Blur, at least SOME of my friends still don’t know how much of a gamer geek I am”), and I KNOW Sport Champions asked me last night when I got Bronze in a couple of events.

I downloaded this new update 3.5, not that I want 3d or facebook or anything, and now I can’t log into PSN, it says that my username or password are incorrect, when I’m 100% sure they are right, and when I select forgot your password an error message pops up. The internet browser and everything still works. Bad times in general. Has anyone here had a similar problem?
