Racing to the head of the pack this week is Criterion’s entry into the Need For Speed franchise with Hot Pursuit. The demo will only be available for a limited time so don’t hang around if you want to try your hand at the titles’s built-in bragging rights ‘social network’ Autolog, as players get the chance to sample both single and multiplayer action.
If you only check the PSN Store on update day then you’d have missed out on the Red Dead Redemption DLC, The Undead Nightmare Pack which was launched yesterday. Expanding on the single player mode it also features brand new gameplay mechanics, weapons, zombie animals, mythical creatures and even a brand new secret location. If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber you can pick up the DLC with a 20% discount.

No doubt someone will say it’s good, but I personally can’t see the point in a premium service like it.
Pulse or whatever its called is free in the US and provides video content.
Inside Xbox is free to Gold subscribers and really does get exclusive content… just look at the behind the scenes look at Black Ops
So I really can’t see the point in paying for something that is available for free online, and tbh even if it was for Plus subscribers I doubt I’d waste the 1gb+ of bandwidth on it.
Aside from not seeing the point in paying for something that available for free, I had issues with the content as well, the humour was forced and the woman’s voice was too annoying to listen to

I was a bit annoyed to find that my wallet had been debited another £8.99 for a FirstPlay subscription, on account of the fact I have ‘automatically add funds to the wallet’ checked on my account options. I bought a subscription, as it seemed like good value at the time, but as time passed FirstPlay really wasn’t for me. So I figured, “well, when the subscription ends, I’ll just not buy another”. Turns out you don’t get a choice if your wallet tops itself up! Cheeky so-and-so’s, I’m now down £8.99 that could’ve gone towards Red Dead dlc, or beer.

Yep, just had a look and you’re right – under Account Management > Transaction Management > Services List, there’s an option to cancel the subscription. Cheers for the heads-up. Still, just to spite them, I went and bought the Red Dead dlc AND the beer anyway. Yeah, that’ll show ’em.
