The YouTube video below has got almost half a million hits and appears to show the NES classic ‘Super Mario Bros.’ being controlled by Microsoft’s Kinect.  It has been picked up by a number of sites, and of course everyone has proclaimed how pointless gaming is without buttons.  However, I’m not entirely convinced.  Look a little closer in the mirror reflection; does anyone else think he’s holding a Wii Nunchuck?

    • Someone needs to get Batman on the case. Or at the very least Sharky and George.

  5. i don’t think he is holding a nunchuck, but looking at how painfully awkward the control seems, i believe he should.

  6. He’s definitely holding something. However, when he dies the first time, he seems to put it down and play for a while with his hand to the side. But then he starts holding up his arm again. Why would you do that? And how does the kinect know wich side to move to, he’s only taking some minor steps.

  7. Reminds me of the Power Glove, but ever so slightly more effective. Only just, mind

  8. He’s deffinitely holding a nunchuck,at about the 0:51 mark you get a clear view of his hand in the mirror and his thumb visiblty moves pushing the control stick.

  9. Looks really bad. No way could someone expect to get far on the game playing it like this.

  10. He’s holding a nunchuk. Look in the mirror at around 4:33, the way his left hand is positioned makes it obvious – that, and you can see the actual nunchuk. There’s definitely something white in that hand, it must be.

    • I saw it too. Its stupid how people do fake things for “OMG ITs RAELZZ!!1″ feedback.
