The YouTube video below has got almost half a million hits and appears to show the NES classic ‘Super Mario Bros.’ being controlled by Microsoft’s Kinect. It has been picked up by a number of sites, and of course everyone has proclaimed how pointless gaming is without buttons. However, I’m not entirely convinced. Look a little closer in the mirror reflection; does anyone else think he’s holding a Wii Nunchuck?

He is holding something, but from the awful moving, i say it could possibly be real

If there’s one thing that will suit pixel-perfect platforming… i don’t think it will be Kinect.
Darth Newdar
Looks terrible… faked or not!
Tuffcub
All hes done is prove Kinect is useless for platformers.

Just wrong…if it’s real, and if it’s fake, people have too much time on their hand to do sh!t.

Are people so sad that they basically lie and throw videos on YouTube about things like this? Very, very sad.
adamguest1985
You don’t YouTube much do you Mike?
bunimomike
I do but found so much terrible stuff on there I had to go with recommendations or stuff I really knew how to find. The shit on there is scary! Welcome to the internet, eh? :-)

And the sad thing is about that,it is partly true.

He’s definitely holding something. I took this screen grab:

You can see what looks like a WiiMote in his hand in the mirror.
rossthebassist
whislt i would agree it looks like there is somthing in his hands, las i checked a wii nunchuck does not run on a windows platform, mario is running in some sort of windows based emulator and not a split screen wii one would presume.

I may be wrong, but if memory serves me I think people have modified the Wiimote to run on a PC.
baska
plus he is clearly running it one Windos XP!
