You Can Now Use Paypal To Add To Your PSN Wallet

We’re waiting on official word on this, but from what we’re hearing it’s now (or at least will be very shortly) possible to add funds to your PlayStation Network wallet from PayPal.

Until today, the only ways to add funds was via a credit card, or via pre-paid vouchers. Now, as part of Sony’s big Store refresh, there’s a third option, so if you’re a PayPal user this is no doubt very welcome news indeed.

Apparently it’s via the sonyentertainmentnetwork.com site. Go there, go to Account and then Wallet, and a PayPal option should appear. We’ll update if there’s a press release or Blog post forthcoming.

  1. You could do that, or you could use PayPal to buy PSN credit online at Game. Or Gamestation. Whichever name they decided to keep.

You get 2.5% back with their Special Magic Card (that might not be the real name), and you get that secret 12 digit (if letters count as digits) code straight away.

Although given the danger of them going tits up again at any second, you might have to spend £200 so you get enough points to buy an extra £5.

  2. Hmmm, nothing on my account here in Sweden.

  3. PSN Wallet ceased to exist last year, the title you are looking for is “SEN Wallet”

    • Few people know what “SEN Wallet” means – specifics of use define modern language and 99% of our users would recognise “PSN Wallet” before they’d recognise “SEN Wallet” so that’s absolutely the correct term for us to use at this time.

      • Also, i still see Sony bods refer to it as PSN, so what are we supposed to think!

If they were changing it, it should have been across the board… But it wasn’t. As always, probably down to a failure to communicate! :)

    • “PSN wallet” doesn’t cease to exist until Sony cease to stop using it.

  4. To be honest, the biggest impact, right now, in terms of PSN store spending, is more dependent upon a positive review on the TSA website or what is said on the podcast.

Peter and everybody else on the TSA staff, you guys cost me a lot of money …. and I like what you recommend.

  5. I use a pre-paid card on my psn account since the “THE EVENT” but on my xbox account I use paypal.I expect a lot of people will be happy about the news all the same.

  6. People will be selling everything on ebay from their sisters underwear to their baby brothers toys to get their DLC COD fix :P

    • Hang on – I don’t have a sister… Whose underwear am i selling?? :S

  7. Not COD dlc, but for DOA premium dlc I would sell my kidney.

  8. Awesome, been using PayPal for several years without any kind of hitch! You are also pretty well protected/insured.
