Have you ever thought “I’d like to wake up in the morning but it’s just not competitive enough.” Well, from today you can get your hands on the free Wake up Club app for the PS Vita.
It’s an alarm, basically. But it lets you join a club with up to 11 other PSN users who wake up at the same time as you. When your alarm goes off, you have to hit your avatar on the screen as quickly as possible. There’s a 21p theme pack (and presumably more to come) to augment the 10 that are bundled with the free app. Oh and there’s trophies too.
Elsewhere, there’s the PlayStation Home Arcade for Vita that we reported on yesterday and Alien Breed, which is available for both the PS3 and Vita.
Bentley’s Hackpack is a Sly Cooper spin off mini-game collection
It appears that Europe is getting Bentley’s Hackpack, the Vita accompaniment to Sly Cooper, despite its companion game, out yesterday in the US, not seeing an EU release until the end of March. This is a mini-game collection based on Bentley’s hacking games from the main series.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II sees a digital release (at £59.99) for the PS3 but perhaps more interestingly, Ni no Kuni is also released as a download. That should help those of you who have been troubled by the issues with lack of stock for that game – if you’ve got £49.99 in your Wallet.
Oh, and don’t forget about that Vita sale which begins today.
Here’s a more complete list:

Haha that sounds a bit strange. Need to try find the trophy list to see what the hell is going on with that.

An alarm clock with trophy support? I think I’ve heard everything now.
kjkg
It has a Platinum trophy too! Absolutely mental.
I’m laughing but I’ll end up getting it for two reasons. I am no longer a “trophy hunter” but still enjoy the ping if I can be arsed.
And two. I need a new alarm!
dave87fez
I don’t think it does have a plat (ps3trophies.org says not). Where have you heard that?
kjkg
Oh, on a trophy guide for PS3T.org. Maybe it was a typo. Come to think of it, reading through the guide there was no mention of a platinum, so think you are right. Error on the guide.
kjkg
Actually scrap that. I read it wrong entirely!

Wake Up Club is a fantastic idea! Getting trophies for waking up is great motivation. However I can’t imagine loads of people will wake up when I wake up. It’s either 4am or 4pm depending on shift.
bacon_nuts
I’d guess it would take this into account and pair you with people in other time zones?

I got my ni no kuni from the Amercian store instead. Worked out as less than £35 after I bought some discounted US PSN cards. Take the SCEE ha.

Ouch for that Blops 2 price though! If you want that and the season pass, it’s gonna be I’ve £100!

My Vita will be thrilled. The PS3 is busy enough with Ni No Kuni already.

I’ll check out Bentleys hackpack and the Home arcade. Probably Alien Breed too if i remember to grab a psn voucher at lunchtime.
