No, quite literally. Today is the first of May, and it’s also a Wednesday, which means today’s the day that the PlayStation Store in Europe updates with its regular batch of downloadable consumable purchasables. We’re a bit earlier today because the three main games have appeared.
What’s new this week?
- Deadly Premonition – Director’s Cut (£29.99) on PS3.
- Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon (£11.99 or £9.59 with Plus) on PS3.
- Soul Sacrifice (£29.99) on PS Vita.
- Some Aliens: CM DLC (giggle) for PS3.
- Farming Simulator (yep) for PS Vita.
- A free Germinator Puzzle Demo for PS3.
- Machinarium (£4.79) for PS Vita.
What’s expected later today?
- Zombie Tycoon 2: Brainhov’s Revenge (£7.99) Cross Buy
- Loads of DLC, as usual.
What released last Friday?
- Dead Island: Riptide (£39.99) on PS3.
- Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen (£19.99) on PS3.
- Star Trek (£49.99) on PS3
- Black Rock Shooter – The Game (£15.99) on PSP/PSN/PS Vita
Remember that PlayStation Plus subscribers can get their (gloved) mitts on Hitman Absolution, Catherine and Malicious today. In that order.
Oh, and that Terraria is out in two weeks. So don’t ask for it today.

Otherwise I’m still holding out for Sound Shapes and LBPV DLCs. I also can’t wait for Mob of the Dead Blops2 DLC….whenever that may be due.

I’m interested in Zombie Tycoon 2 too but I’m not sure what to make of it. Sound a little like a multiplayer focused game but can’t be sure. Waiting for any kind of informative review.

Having only recently completed Far Cry 3 (just need to do co-op for the platinum) I am definitely getting Blood Dragon. It looks to be to Far Cry what Saints Row is to GTA :)

It looks like Friday on the web store. Although it does say released in 1 days time, preorder today, released on 3/5/13. Unless I’ve overslept and its 2nd of May ?!

Could mean because it’ll be unlocked at midnight, which is 1 day and 14 hours left. So one day. Perhaps. EU have already got it. us UK people are still waiting until the 3rd though.

I could copy my version to my vita this morning (uk user) and got super excited but when you try and play it on the vita it says its not available yet! Does anyone know why exactly uk people have to wait two more days?! Seems ridiculous I have a finished version of a game on my computer but am unable to play it.
