Sorcery’s Disappearing Act

It’s probably fair to say that as far as PlayStation Move is concerned, Sorcery stole the show at E3. The game, more than any other title, seemed to show off all the ingredients of Richard Marks’ fantastic Move tech demos, all in one lovely package.

Although we were mildly disappointed that we weren’t going to get our hands on Sorcery before Christmas, we were comforted by the fact we wouldn’t have to wait too long into the new year. Or so we thought.

A couple of days ago Sony took the chance to remind customers of all the PlayStation Move titles due for release in the remainder of this year and through to the announced titles of 2011. Strangely absent from the list was none other than… yep, you’ve guessed it, Sorcery.

On Sony’s UK PlayStation site, Sorcery still has the release window of Jan-Mar 2011, but over in the US its release window is still TBD. Obviously, the fact that Sorcery has done a vanishing act from Sony’s PlayStation Move list could be an oversight, but would Sony really miss the poster-child of Move off their list of upcoming ones to watch? The question now being asked in internet-land is whether Sorcery is the latest Sony title to face a delay. We’ll pass on word as soon as we get it.

  1. This is the game that will make me buy the Move.
So yeah, if it is delayed, so is my purchase..
    >_<

  2. Aww that sucks, I was really looking forward to Socery – looked really good. Let’s hope we get a firm date soon, come on Sony!

  3. this may sound funny, but am i only one who thinks Sorcery was just a demo of what the move can do for a future game from the developers? Just a thought…

    • It’s real.
I downloaded the last Kevin Butler video off the US PSN, and at the end they showed a row of PS3 boxes of Move compatible titles, and one of them was of Sorcery.

    • It’s real. They already have tech demos to show off the what the MOVE can do.

  4. Come on, this is why I got move, along with sports champions that is.
As long as it doesn’t go the way of Eight Days and The Getaway 3, good memories.

    • but the Getaway hasnt been cancelled

  5. wasn’t a reason why i bought the move but i’d like to think it was

  6. This was the only game that could persuade me to get Move. It looked great.

  7. owww :( i loved the demo at E3

  8. oooh! it looks pretty cool! hmmm move might be a good buy!

  9. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! This was my favourite game for move and probably 2010. I loved the e3 showing of it as I have mentioned in the sly collection trophy lists this is the reason I will by move! I seriously hope this is still going to come out! :(

    • I’ve noticed that the list of future PS Move titles are not working titles such as Playstation Move Heroes’ working title was Heroes On The Move. Sorcery is a working title for the game and therefore doesn’t fit into that list. Here’s hoping that as I reassure myself that Sorcery is still coming out that I am also correct.

  10. Thought it looked it rather naff IMO!!
