We know there are going to be a number of world exclusives at this year’s VGAs but will a new SSX from EA be one of them? That’s the rumour currently racing around the Internet like nofi on Nordwand.
The source of the anticipation comes in the form of a new Spike TV ad. We see Earth, then we see a snowy mountain before a voice tells us to “Get ready to take on the planet.” As Kotaku are also claiming EA’s logo was once emblazoned on the snippet, we’re pretty sure this is something from the mega-publisher. So, it’s SSX then. Or The Sims Go To Everest. Smart money is on the former, though Battlefield 3 is also a strong candidate.

There were some minor rumours of a new SSX like a month or two ago, so I won’t be surprised if this turns out to be true.
Anyhow, this years VGA is shaping up to be quite the event, it may even rival E3 when it comes to new games. (Mass Effect 3? Uncharted 3? Elder Scrolls V? SSX4?)

To me this looks a Motorstorm-ish type of game, and it would make sense for them to announce another one due to the success of MS1 and MS:PR. However, I wouldn’t say no to a new SSX.
