Hardly unexpected, and we’ve published rumours on a 360 version previously, but CD Projekt RED have just announced at their pre-E3 event that The Witcher 2 is coming to the Xbox 360.
The console version will be the same top-quality, critically acclaimed game that PC owners have been raving about – the latter version getting a patch shortly that will – apparently – enable new haircuts.
No word on a PS3 version.

Hope this does come to PS3, been wanting to play this and my Xbox 360 is dying and not getting replaced anytime soon!

I really hope this is not an exculsive. If the port is the same quailty as the PC version then someone will have to buy them a beer and shake their hands for a job well done. No PS3 version yet. I hope it is due to techinal problems and not what i fear it is.

Ooooh, if this would make way to the PS3, I would certainly pick it up at day one.

i would prefer ps3, but i’ll get the 360 version if that’s the only console version.

YES!

I seem to remember Witcher 2 was originally announced for PC, 360 and PS3 a long time ago; maybe they decided their PS3 version wasn’t up to snuff. Can’t blame them for that.
That said, I’m very excited for this now, my PC doesn’t have a hope of running this!

No word on a PS3 version – BOO!

Hmmm, your article is a little misleading, it definitely won’t be the same game as the PC version, it’ll take a significant performance hit to run on 360, hardware demands are simply too much for the console.
Also worth noting that this game was never coming to consoles previously, it was a separate title they were developing for a while.

That’s rather pedantic…

Great for 360 owners, although PC is still the way to play. Utterly fantastic game, everyone will enjoy it.
Although I can’t see it being the same as the PC version graphically, it’s just too demanding. It will take a hit, most definitely.

This just shows that these guys are not so much exceptional in coding. The PC version is buggy and way too much power hungry – optimisation has left the building.
Oh well, let’s see if Microsoft announces this as “exclusive” ;)
